Dr. Rosario Trifiletti

M.D. Pediatric Neurologist

PANS (Pediatric Acute Neuropsychiatric Syndrome) refers to the relatively sudden onset of characteristic behavioral changes in a child. The changes usually involve appearance of OCD, Anxiety, and sometimes other symptoms as well. These changes (“flares”) tend to occur repeatedly in the same child. PANS is usually secondary to an infection, but not necessarily. PANDAS is a small subset of PANS in which each and every flare is associated with a streptococcal infection, specifically with the strep that causes strep throat. PANS can occur in children under a year of age and in adults over 21 years of age. However, 6-10 is the typical age of onset. It is now estimated that 1-2% of children have PANDAS/PANS, and the number may be some tenfold higher in children with autistic spectrum disorder.

Why Dr. Trifiletti?

Having had the privilege of caring for over 5,000 patients with PANDAS/PANS not only from all over the United States, but also across the globe: Canada, England, Ireland, Italy, Austria, Finland, Mexico, Australia & Bangladesh, Dr. Rosario Trifiletti, is the world’s foremost authority of this condition. For more than two decades, Dr. Trifiletti ("Dr. T") has been deeply involved in PANDAS/PANS. In fact, from 2009-2019 he ran the only practice in the world dedicated exclusively to that condition.

Since he is a sole practitioner, Dr. Trifiletti, has personally examined and treated every single patient. Specializing in highly complex cases, he has helped countless children who suffered for years while other professionals could not offer a proper diagnosis and simply gave up. Most importantly, because Dr. T is NOT affiliated with any hospital or hospital system, he is afforded total freedom to“think outside the box”, which is critical to analyzing complex cases.

Dr. T has superior clinical training, having been the chief of Child Neurology at two major institutions in the NYC metropolitan areas, and has extensive training in Pediatrics, Neurology, Neurogenetics, Metabolic Disease and Mitochondrial Disease, having published in all these areas. In additional to his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHUSM), Dr. Trifiletti has a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics from JHUSM, having been mentored by the Lasker-award winning (and Nobel-nominated) neuropharmacologist Dr. Solomon H. Snyder, and has published over 80 scientific papers.

Introducing Dr. James A. Oaks, MD, Medical Director

Dr. James Oaks MD, is a traditionally trained medical doctor. Dr. Oaks has bachelor degrees in Math and Biochemistry. He was a high school math teacher, a mechanical engineer, served in the US Navy and owned his own business. When he realized his calling to go in to medicine he was working as a high school math teacher. He had to quit a full time job, his family’s only source of income, to go back to college. He graduated with a 3.9 gpa while working 3 part time jobs and supporting his family. He graduated from Quillen College of Medicine in 2012 and successfully completed his Intern year in Internal Medicine with East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tn. Dr. Oaks then went on to complete his training as a Nuclear Medicine Resident at Vanderbilt University.

While in residency Dr. Oaks questioned many traditional approaches to medicine. He knew that there were answers that did not require another pharmaceutical. His approach toward medicine had one of his attending physicians asking him, “Why don’t you stop thinking about things that way and just memorize the protocols”. His desire to do more for his patients pulled him back to clinical medicine. In 2014 he began working as a primary care physician with a company utilizing a home visitation model. All along he continued to search for medical answers to questions, he had had for years. Then Dr. James Oaks, came upon a new approach to medicine and a pioneer in frequency medicine, Dr. Jerry Tennant. He completed a fellowship with Dr. Tennant in the spring of 2017. This newly found knowledge and training has encouraged him to pursue more information and ways to help those in need.

Dr. Oaks then became familiar with Dr. Charles Stratton’s work and the protocols he had developed to help those with chronic infections that have been implicated and responsible for multiple diseases. He was honored to work with Dr. Stratton. Dr. Stratton guided and consulted with him as he began treating those with chronic diseases such as multiple sclerosis, lupus, hashimotos, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes types I and II as well as PCOS and others. This newly found knowledge meshed with Dr. Tennant’s protocols has afforded him the opportunity to help others discover, restore and transform their health.

Dr. Jason Tharpe

My goal is to get you back on the road to wellness.

In November 1995, my wife Krissi and I attended a Thanksgiving dinner that changed our lives. In attendance were ten other chiropractors, and the host—Dr. Larry Webster—was telling us about a technique he had developed to help turn breech babies.

I was mesmerized, and my dream of becoming a chiropractor was reignited.

The next year, Krissi and I moved to Dallas so I could enroll in Parker University’s Doctor of Chiropractic degree program.

After completing the rigorous program, we opened ChiroCore Wellness in Franklin, Tennessee.

I soon saw the need to gain a greater understanding of the connection between the conditions I was seeing and patients’ diet and lifestyle habits. So, I went on to get a Masters in the Science of Human Nutrition at the University of Bridgeport.

I believe it's important to spend time assessing each patient's needs and to answer any questions they may have.

With your health and well-being being our number one concern, my staff and I will be sure to accommodate you in any way we can. This is what makes ChiroCore Wellness unique.
